Tom & 'Doc' Help Each Other Through Hard Times --

is an engaging music assembly program designed to introduce elementary and middle school students to American folk music and blues. The presentation deals with the power of music to support and sustain people in times of difficulty. The program is entertaining and interactive, encouraging students to sing along and even help Tom & Doc create a blues song about their own school!

Ken 'Doc' Licata has over 30 years experience as a science teacher at the middle school and high school levels. He sings and plays guitar and blues harp.

Tom Johnson taught English for 34 years at both the middle and high school levels. He sings and plays a variety of folk instruments -- 6&12 string guitar, dobro, mandolin, banjo, and harmonica.
