Tom Johnson

Retiring from public education after a 34-year career, Tom Johnson turned his attention to a lifetime avocation - songwriting and performance. He has just released his first CD of original songs, "Hamlet of Ebenezer".

Tom plays a number of folk instruments:     6&12 string guitars, dobro, mandolin,      6-string banjo, and harmonica. His songs      span a wide range of emotion, from humor    and social commentary to personal insight     and tales of interesting characters.

His tunes, crafted in folk tradition, contain elements of many genres -- bluegrass, country, pop, and blues. He currently performs in a variety of acts in the Western NY area, as well as music ministry at the Newman Center of SUNY at Buffalo.
